For the fourth year, UNEP, the World Bank, IUCN and UNDP are organizing Adaptation Knowledge Day alongside the UNFCCC Climate Talks in Bonn. Adaptation Knowledge Day is an annual event as part of UNEP's Global Adaptation Network and it focuses on bringing together climate change adaptation practitioners, policy makers and academics to share lessons learned and experiences on important adaptation topics. Over the past years the event attracted up to seventy people, which makes it one of the bigger side events taking place during the SBI & SBSTA meetings in Bonn.
Adaptation Knowledge Day IV will take place on Thursday 6 June from 1.30 PM - 6 PM in the Gustav Stresemann Institut in Bonn, just a five minute walk from the Maritim Hotel. A broad range of panelists from International Organizations, NGOs and Party Members will gather to present and engage in discussions with the audience in the following three sessions:
Session 1: Ecosystem-based Adaptation and Climate Resilience
Session 2: What do Decision-makers and Practitioners Need to Know about Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA)?
Session 3: Lessons Learned from Climate Change Adaptation Case Studies
